About Us

The Hoke County Partnership for Children and Families is a private non-profit agency.  We serve children from birth to age 5, their families and teachers in Hoke County, North Carolina.

Hoke County Partnership for Children and Families is a private, nonprofit 501(C)3 agency formed in 1994. Key leaders came together in that first year, and we received a state grant from the Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Youth Services for the Support Our Students (SOS) program. In 1996, the Partnership received a grant to plan and establish programs to serve families of children 0-5 years. By 1997, we had hired an Executive Director and submitted a 2-year strategic plan, which was approved by May of that year.

Through the years, we have continued to grow and gain experience in service design and delivery. The first Smart Start services began with a pre-kindergarten program in the Hoke County Schools in February 1998. As the Partnership continues to grow and gain experience in service delivery, services should continue to multiply, providing a wide array of services to meet the needs of families in Hoke County.
