Parents As Teachers

Education begins at home!

Parents as Teachers (P.A.T.) assists expectant parents and families with children ages birth through five years in understanding how to nurture their child’s development.

P.A.T. is especially targeted towards Hispanic families with limited English proficiency, as well as low income, military, and teen parents. Parents as Teachers focuses on fostering positive growth and well-being of children and families. P.A.T. uses a multi-pronged approach: peer support, group meetings, home visits, developmental screenings, and referrals to community resources.  Call the Hoke County Cooperative Extension at 910-875-2000, or learn more here.
